- Describe various types of CCTV cameras, including dome cameras, bullet cameras, PTZ cameras, and specialized cameras.
- List and explain the equipment and tools used by CCTV installers for installation and maintenance tasks.
- Identify types of cables and connectors used in CCTV installations and understand their respective limitations.
- Compute the storage capacity required for CCTV systems based on factors such as camera resolution, frame rate, and retention period.
- Interpret camera and recorder specifications including resolution, focal length, field of view, and storage requirements.
- Demonstrate proficiency in terminating different types of cables used in CCTV installations.
- Set up centralized power supplies for CCTV systems to ensure reliable power distribution.
- Troubleshoot common problems encountered in CCTV systems, including camera malfunctions, recording issues, and connectivity problems.
- Configure and set up different brands of CCTV recorders according to standard procedures.
- Add analog cameras to Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) or Hybrid Video Recorders (XVRs) using appropriate settings and connections.
- Understand IP addressing and configure IP cameras and NVRs for network connectivity.
- Access IP cameras and NVRs using web browsers and configure settings as needed.
